1/- LIKE (thích): được theo sau bởi một danh động từ (gerund) hoặc một động từ nguyên thể có “to” (ton inf) mà nghĩa của nó hầu như không đổi.
Ex: I like drink coffee.
I like to drink coffee.
Notes:
# Khi diễn tả một ý tốt nào đó (không phải là điều thích thú) thì chúng ta sử dụng “like + to inf”
Ex: I didn’t like to complain. (I didn’t complain because it wasn’t a good idea)
I didn’t like complaining. (I complained, but I didn’t enjoy it)

Ex: I prefer apples to bananas.
I prefer watching TV to reading books.
